Clean Cards + Clean Printer = Clean Printouts
Regular printer cleaning is important for maintenance. This is true of any card printer, no matter the make or model.

3. Cleaning wet wipes (used to clean the printer cleaning rollers);

2. Use of cleaning kits
1. First open the printer and take out the ribbon.
2. Tear off the packaging bag, and put the cleaning card into the card input box of the printer.
3. Open the printing preferences of the card printer driver.
4. Select the Tools tab, and click the Printer Self Cleaning button to clean.
5. After the cleaning is completed, the card will automatically exit.
6. Take out the cleaning swab , squeeze the cotton swab stick, and let the liquid flow out to the head of the cotton swab.
7. Use a cotton swab to gently wipe the print head of the printer (wipe in one direction).
8. Wipe the cleaning rollers with a damp paper towel.
9. Wait for the liquid to dry and the cleaning is complete.
Store cards in a dry, clean environment
Blank white PVC cards are very sensitive and tend to accumulate static electricity. This means that dust and dirt particles are immediately attracted to these surfaces. After unpacking the cards, you must use the cards, or store them in a clean, dry and closed environment, just like the box it came in. Leaving a card out for a period of time can cause dust particles to accumulate on its surface.

Our hands and fingers, even when cleaned, have small dust particles and oils in them. These can be easily transferred to cardstock prior to printing. The oils from our fingers can smudge the otherwise pristine surface of the card. When handling cards, remember to only hold the card by its sides or edges. Avoid touching its surface or printed side.
Check Cards Before Printing
Most card printers will print an overlay panel on the card. Since this is usually the last panel in the printing process, any dirt or dust particles will be trapped beneath this panel. It is impossible to remove it without damaging the print or card surface. So checking the cards before printing will save you time and tears.
If you have hair, don’t despair
Of course, when it’s all said and done, when you find yourself staring at the smudges on the surface of a clean card, don’t despair.
Cards don’t have to go in the trash because of a little grime or oil.
Simply clean the surface of the card with a high-quality microfiber cloth and place it back in the card printer.
