The Datacard 590408-002 Cleaning Kit is designed to help maintain the optimal performance of your Datacard printer by removing dust, dirt, and other debris that can accumulate on the printer’s internal parts over time. This cleaning kit is compatible with Datacard SP and SP Plus series card printers.

Datacard 590408-002 large adhesive cards can remove dust and tiny particle from your printer transport rollers and adhesive rollers to ensure high quality of printing effect and prolong the lifespan of Adhesive Sleeves. Simply run the adhesive cleaning cards through your printer to clean the rollers.

Please note Datacard large adhesive cleaning card can only remove dust and tiny particle, please use a IPA presaturated CR80 cleaning card to remove ink, residue, and debris from the rollers, and use a cleaning swab to clean the print head.

High and Low Tack Double Coated Tape

Alcohol cleaning cards are designed to remove dust and other debris from your printer’s card rollers. It is an effective way to maintain your printer

A film tape coated on one side with a high tack ( permanent ) pressure sensitive adhesive and on the other side with a low tack ( removable ) pressure sensitive adhesive.
Double Coated Tape, with high tack permanently tape onto the surface of PVC Card and low tack surface is protected by Silicone treated paper release liner.

Datacard Adhesive Cleaning Card utilized High / Low Tack Double Coated Polyester Film pressure sensitive tape as carrier to permanently stick onto the surface of PVC Core Substrate.

To use the cleaning kit, follow these steps:

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
Open the printer’s cover and remove any cards that may be in the printer.
Take the cleaning card and insert it into the printer’s card input hopper, with the cleaning side facing down.
Press the printer’s “OK” button to feed the cleaning card through the printer.
Once the cleaning card has been fed through the printer, remove it from the output hopper.
Take the cleaning swab and gently clean the printhead and other sensitive parts of the printer.
Allow the printer to dry for at least 10 minutes before turning it back on and using it.
It is recommended that you use the Datacard 590408-002 Cleaning Kit every time you change your printer’s ribbon, or after printing 1,000 cards, whichever comes first. Regular use of the cleaning kit can help extend the life of your Datacard printer and ensure consistent, high-quality prints.
