Procedure for Cleaning Card Path and Drive Rollers:

  1. Preparation Phase:
    • Press the “MENU” button and select “Clean Rollers”, follow on-screen prompts.
    • Remove the card hopper from the rear of the printer.
    • Open the top cover of the printer and remove the ribbon, keeping the cover open.
  2. Using the Cleaning Card:
    • Open the packaging of the Magicard specialized cleaning card and remove it.
    • The printer screen will display “Ready to Clean,” press the “Yes” button.
    • Insert the narrow end of the cleaning card into the horizontal entry at the front of the printer; the printer will automatically clean the rollers.
  3. Repeat Cleaning:
    • After the cleaning is complete, follow the on-screen prompt to determine if another cleaning is required.
    • You may remove and flip the card vertically to perform a secondary cleaning, ensuring thorough cleaning.
  4. In addition to cleaning cards, there are a few other tools that can help you clean your printer. Cleaning pens and squeeze sponges are two popular options that can eliminate facial hair, debris, and scrunchies, improve print quality, and extend the life of your printhead.
  5. For those areas that are difficult to clean, such as parts, we can use sponge cotton swabs with short or long handles to clean until every detail is cleaned.
  6. Finally, don’t forget to use cleaning wipes to clean the printer’s interior and exterior housing, as well as contaminated components. This also includes cleaning parts, ensuring that all parts of the printer are kept clean.
